With high readiness and job discipline, Yemen Customs Authority (YCA) records a continuous flow of passengers and goods during the Eid al-Adha holiday

In implementation of government directives aimed at facilitating the movement of citizens and securing the flow of goods and commodities, and under the continuous and direct follow-up of H.E. Minister of Finance Mr. Marwan Faraj bin Ghanem and YCA Chairman Mr. Abdulhakim Radman Al-Kubati, the authority’s employees, in cooperation and joint coordination with security agencies and authorities at various land and air ports, exemplified a fine model of commitment and job discipline by continuing to provide their customs and humanitarian services without interruption throughout the Eid Al Adha holiday.

YCA ports witnessed a tireless movement and intensive activity in receiving travelers and facilitating the movement of commercial cargo, as official statistics issued by the Operations and Follow-up Room at the head of the Department showed high efficiency in dealing with the large flow through the ports and the highest degree of coordination, with a total of 46,980 travelers by land and air (arrivals and departures), according to the official statistics issued by the Operations and Follow-up Room at the head of the Department.

In terms of land crossings (Wadiah Customs, Shahen Customs, and Sarafit Customs), statistical data revealed that the total passenger traffic (arrivals and departures) amounted to 32,490 travelers, distributed between 21,730 arriving passengers and 10,760 departing passengers.
In the same context, the movement of land transportation arriving and departing through these ports amounted to 12,345 vehicles and trucks, including 7,744 arriving and 4,601 departing, which were handled and completed smoothly and easily.

The airports continued to work at a high pace and around the clock to facilitate the procedures of travelers and ensure the safety of transactions, as the total number of arrivals and departures through the airports reached 13,725 travelers, including 7,965 arrivals and 5,760 departures, on 123 incoming and outgoing flights.

For its part, the Presidency of the Customs Authority praised the exceptional efforts and high vigilance shown by the managers and employees of customs outlets throughout the days of Eid, stressing that this outstanding field discipline reflects a high sense of national responsibility and confirms the authority’s constant keenness to provide all customs facilities and simplify procedures for citizens and traders alike, serving the national economy and alleviating the suffering of travelers on this great religious occasion.
