YCA Chairman, Mr. Abdulhakim Al-Qubati, inaugurated today a training program organized by the Customs Training Center in cooperation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Global Maritime Crime Programme.
The program consists of five training courses in anti-smuggling, customs inspection, use of portable X-ray machines, combating commercial fraud at the border, body language and behavior analysis.
The courses target 65 trainees fromYCA headquarters and various land, sea and air customs outlets.
Al-Qubati emphasized that the Customs Authority continues to build customs capacity in all customs fields.
He stressed that the role of combating smuggling and providing the state treasury with revenues is based on the efforts of everyone, from policy makers to employees on the ground.
The training courses are conducted by UNODC customs experts Ismail Shadarmeh and Sari Al-Jardin from Jordan.
The opening was attended by YCA deputies of Technical Affairs, Mr. Abdullah Al-Habashi, and Customs enforcement, Mr. Ahmed Al-Hajj, and a number of general managers YCA Headquarters
