Dr. Ahmed Al-Kamal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for the Planning Sector.
During the meeting, which was attended by the deputy of the Customs Authority for Technical Affairs, Mr. Abdullah Saleh Al-Habashi, they discussed a number of joint topics, especially in the aspects of customs exemptions and facilities provided by Customs to the Ministry of Health and the organizations dealing with it.
Al-Qubati stressed the keenness of the Customs Authority to provide all facilities that ensure the completion of transactions related to the Ministry of Health and its affiliated bodies as well as international organizations operating in the country, including the World Health Organization, based on the directives of the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Mr. Salem Saleh bin Breik, to provide all possible facilities to release relief shipments arriving at customs ports first and foremost in a manner that does not contradict the customs law.
He referred to the single window project for customs exemptions for international organizations and government agencies, which has been prepared for more than a year, hoping that it will be inaugurated soon.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Al-Kamal praised the cooperation of the Customs Authority in overcoming the difficulties facing the work of the Ministry in this aspect and the organizations dealing with it, appreciating the great role played by Customs in providing all possible facilities.
The meeting was attended by the Ministry of Health’s Director General of Technical Cooperation and International Relations, Dr. Saleh Hashleh, as well as the Ministry of Health and the Customs Authority.
