Workshop on Yemen’s National Strategy onTrade Facilitation

A workshop on Yemen’s national strategy for trade facilitation, supported by the World Bank Group, began in the Jordanian capital, Amman, today.
The workshop, held with the participation of YCA Chairman, Abdulhakim Alkubati, the deputies of the Ministries of Industry, Mohammed Al-Hamidi, and Finance, Abdulqader Amin, and the Director General of the Standards Authority, and a number of stakeholders, aims to discuss the gap analysis of the Yemen Trade Facilitation Agreement, validate the initial results of the analysis and complete it in order to reach and agree on a roadmap for the implementation of the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA).
This workshop is a continuation of the economic and trade reforms to develop procedures and modernize government laws to reduce the time of release of goods, reduce costs and facilitate procedures in accordance with the World Trade Organization’s Trade Facilitation Agreement.
