Yemen Customs Authority (YCA) , represented by the General Manager of Radiology and Automated Inspection, Engineer Jalal Al-Afouri, participated in the RANDA awareness project meeting held in cooperation between the World Customs Organization and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) of the US Department of Energy.

The meeting was held at the WCO headquarters in Brussels on May 14-15, 2025.

The project focuses on the exchange of information for customs seizures related to nuclear, radiological and radioactively contaminated materials.

During the meeting, national presentations of the project were made by the participating countries, Alafouree has presented the national presentation of what Customs will implement in relation to the process.

The project’s implementation plan was discussed, voted on and approved by the participating members.

The meeting was attended by 97 member countries of the World Customs Organization.
