Technical team of the Revenue Committee visits the Customs Authority

YCA chairman, Mr. Abdulhakim Alkubati, received this morning at the headquarters of Yemen Customs Authority (YCA) in the interim capital, Aden, the field technical team to follow up on the outputs of the Supreme Committee for Sovereign and Local Revenues, headed by Mr. Jamal Mohammed Ali, Secretary of the Presidential Leadership Council.
At the beginning of the meeting, Alkubati welcomed the head and members of the team, stressing the importance of partnership and coordination between the concerned authorities to enhance revenues, combat smuggling, and support youth cadres through rehabilitation and training programs.
The head of the team, Dr. Jamal, reviewed a number of proposals and recommendations aimed at improving revenues, while Alkubati explained the efforts made by the Customs Authority in developing infrastructure, building customs capacities, implementing the matrix to improve revenues, in addition to enhancing the role of the authority in supplying the state treasury.
YCA Deputy for Technical Affairs, Mr. Abdullah Al-Habashi, also gave a presentation on customs exemptions on CPD, and the department’s efforts in facilitating customs procedures.
The meeting was attended by members of the Supreme Committee: Mr. Mansour Zaid Haydara, Deputy of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Musaed Ahmed Al-Qutaibi, Deputy of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, and from the customs side: YCA Assistant Deputy of enforcement Affairs Mr. Ahmed Al-Hajj, General Manager of Audit and Risk Mr. Hamed Al-Shatari, General Manager of Financial Affairs Mr. Fahd Abdul Shakoor, General Manager of Value Mr. Mohammed Karada, General Manager of Exemptions and Temporary Entry Mr. Morsi Baghouza, manager of International Relations Mr. AboBakr Al-Sharhi and the manager of Follow-up Mr. Ashraf Qahtan.
