The Customs EMobile, which facilitates the transit procedures of travelers and reduces paperwork, was inaugurated today at Shahwn Land Port Customs in Al-Mahra Governorate.
The event was held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Salem Saleh bin Breik, Al-Mahrah Governor Mohammed Ali Yasser, and the head of the Customs Authority Abdulhakim Al-Qubati.
The Undersecretary of Al-Mahrah Governorate for Technical Affairs, Engineer Awad Qwaizan, praised the efforts of the customs leadership in making a qualitative leap in the level of work by moving from the traditional manual work environment to the digital technological work environment, praising the continuous support provided by the Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance, the Governor of Al-Mahrah and the head of the Customs Authority to Shahn Customs in order to strengthen the infrastructure and upgrade the level of work in Shahn Customs, which is the eastern gateway to the Republic of Yemen and one of the economic tributaries of the country.
For his part, Thabet Awad, Director General of Shahn Land Port Customs, said: “The launch of the automated inspection system came in implementation of the directives of His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance aimed at activating the automated system, and in implementation of the strategic action plan of the Customs Authority to modernize the automated system, as these development steps are important in terms of achieving more achievements and facilitating the transit procedures of travelers through the use of smart devices,” praising the great support provided by the Prime Minister, Al Mahra Governor and the head of the Customs Authority, which had a significant impact in developing the infrastructure and customs work in general at Shahn Customs in Shahn Customs.
At the end of the inauguration, Al-Mahrah governorate deputy Awad Qwaizan, Director General of the Public Works Office in Al-Mahrah Khalid Al-Emad, and Director General of Shahn Land Port Customs Thabit Awad honored Engineer Akram Al-Sharaabi for his efforts in implementing and operating the automated system at Shahn Customs.
